New obsessions

I have two new song related obsessions lately

One is a beautiful piano piece by the ever famous Korean composer Yiruma. His compositions are easy to play but awe inspiring. His piano song 'Kiss the rain' is just so melliflous and beautiful i could sit and listen to it again and again and never get bored. Simply the most beautiful melody i have heard

Take a listen

Also the song 'Falling for you' by Colbie Caillat is awesome.
Makes me think of spring days.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgNjn9V_IKw

One song that reminds me of star filled nights and one of breeze filled dusks!

Oh yes holidays are in the air S2

Oh yes and seeing the weather lately i think it's time we all become a little bit more responsible. After a horric night where i encountered 6 mosquitos and i now have really really itchy legs i set out to buy some much needed summer gear.

This includes, face sunscreen, everyday sunscreen, insect repellent ( a nice big bottle) hand cream and anti perspirant deodorant which smells like shower gel mmmm nice!

The 5 essential friends of life

I was watching a morning television program a couple of days back and it mentioned that there are 5 main friends that everyone needs in life. Some people might fill two of these catagories but mostly they should be in essense 5 different people.

Here they are:

Friend 1 - The Truth Teller

The 'truth teller' is your reality check. This friend will always tell you the truth no matter how harsh it may be. If you want an honest opinion on anything, a truly honest opinion on something this is the person you go to.

Friend 2 - The Uplifter

The 'uplifter' is the friend who makes you feel good. When your just a little bit depressed or falling in the abyss of darkness, this is the friend who can always make you feel better. The friend who always makes you feel good about yourself and what you have achieved or done.

Friend 3 - The Travel Buddy

The 'travel buddy' is your very versatile friend who can cope in any situation. A friend who always manages to figure something out in what seems like the toughest situation.

Friend 4 - The Unlikely Friend

The 'unlikely friend' is the person who adds a new dimension to your world. The friend you never thought you would be friends with.

Friend 5 - The Friend who just wants to have fun

And lastly the 'friend who just wants to have fun' is the person who always makes you laugh. Always ready with something that will just make you smile and laugh all night. Like your personal jester.

So who are these friends for you? Think about it!

What i hate!

My list of 10 things i hate the most:

  1. I hate loud people!!! My family especially is really loud and when you're trying to study and do your own thing and all you can hear is clanging in the kitchen and my mum talking and the dogs barking and my sister singing and ARGH it drives me insane. I need a study bubble where i can hop in and not be disturbed by ANYTHING! Even those people that talk really loudly on like trains and stuff annoy me.
  2. Happy morning people. As alot of you may or may not know i'm not the brightest morning person if you wake me. When i wake up all i want to do is sit there and eat my breakfast in silence and alone. I hate people talking to me in the morning, and i hate especially when my mum starts singing ugh! She's really loud too
  3. I hate that i don't have my own space. Most of you know that i do still share a room with my sister which is sad because i was so excited at the prospect of having my own room until that stupid other family placed an offer on the house we were gonna get last minute. I NEED MY OWN SPACE! I HATE SHARING STUFF! Yes i know i'm selfish but hey if you didn't have ONE space of your own to yourself you would start becoming crazily posessive too. Is there no sanctuary for me in this world?
  4. I hate people who show off at things they are good at. Like when you are talking about a topic and they start going on and on about how you're wrong and act like they know it all. I know you know alot but that doesn't mean you have to be all snobby about it
  5. I hate people who drive slow. Ok i'm not the fastest driver in the world but that's because my car cannot physically be the fastest car in the world so that's not my fault. But ARGH i hate driving behind slow cars.
  6. I hate procrastination. It is never a good thing to procrastinate and i can't seem to stop.
  7. I hate Deakin for creating their stupid trimester system so now i have to cram even more information into my head in a much shorter time span. As if they didn't have a big enough work load already.
  8. I hate that the world is a time clock. Everything has its own schedule and we must abide by it in order to sucessfully make a stand in this world.
  9. I hate that even though it seems you try so hard in something, you never seem to reach your goal. Tears, hours and sweat go into projects that never see the end of the tunnel and eventually turn into dust.
  10. Most of all i hate judgement. It's something we all do and something we all try to avoid but lets be honest, no one can avoid it.

I've been doing a little 'me' time lately and here's what i realised:

One: I have the biggest obsession with food, especially desserts. Winnie even told me it's sometimes scary how much i love it. If i look at a dessert menu i instantly become happy. It has become the best pick me up! Cake and strawberries and to a slightly smaller extent chocolate are also my life!

Two: I have bad dancing fever! I love to dance and will shake my booty on the dance floor in any way i want and i don't care if you think i'm trying to be a showoff because no one can stop me when the beat pumps through my veins.

Three: I love doing up my hair and collecting compliments for it. Although unlike when i was in school the number of ideas for new hairstyles has significantly decreased. Bobby pins are a nice idea when you hair stays! Wax has now become my new best friend:)

Yeah can't be bothered writing the rest of it up. Now onto my next point.

I had a splendid time at a joint 21'st last night with one minor annoyance. Seriously how hard is it to hold onto your drink? Not only did i have Johnny Black and coke spilt down my leg and into my boot but had water tipped down my back as well. Thank you to the retard who though it was a nice idea to shake that uncapped bottle of water around while dancing in a room where everyone is 1 centimeter to anyone else. Not the first time i've had a drink spilled down my back...or my leg for that matter!

Also i have discovered Workshop Kitchen at crown is an awesome place to have dinner. Although i did get burnt on my hand and have a small blister it was worth it for the food! $30 for all you can eat and let me tell you the desserts fridge is to DIE FOR!! I took like half of them and had a spoon full of each thing! The tiramisu in paticular tickled my taste buds. They have créme brulee's, panna cota's, mousse's and cakes in ALOT of flavours, a fruit salad for the healthy minds and a chocolate fountain for the child within. Simply beautiful!

Definitely on the agenda of must go again or must try places. Brunetti, Chocolate ganache and theobroma chocolate lounge is also amongst that list.

Dear Diary

I am very annoyed at the constant time restraints on my life. This essay must be due in today, that essay must be due in yesterday, my head shall soon explode *screams*. I have been spending my time skipping uni this week just to try and finish all my essays in time. I have also had to take time off from gym and thus have turned into a slob with all my very unhealthy but delicious eating habits (now how am i suppose to be bikini ready in time for summer :( ). Pancake parlour, lindt chocolate cafe and i cannot forget to mention that I WORK at a chocolate bar. This makes it very difficult to resist taking a piece of chocolate here and a piece of chocolate there when it's all free right in front of me. Did i mention just yesterday my work mates and i devoured an entire chocolate pizza because Julia accidentally dropped a coin in the first one i made?! We can't just waste good food!

Oh did i mention my sister so kindly bought me a snuggy? It's awesome but when i looked at the weather it seems summer is well and truly on it's way in thus rendering my awesome snuggy useless *sad face*. Though i suppose i do have many things to looks forward to. I have many birthdays coming up and birthdays are always so much fun (if you don't count the whole going broke part). In addition i have just laid my hands on the most awesome black dress. Too bad it's not colourful enough to wear to the marketing ball in 2 weeks, but as i said many many birthdays to come.

Oh diary how shall i ever save enough for my trip to Hong Kong next year? My bank balance sinks as soon as i get it (dam monthly payments) from purchasing so many 21'st birthday gifts. Those don't come cheap. Well not that i mind spending money on my friends, i think they deserve it (awesome friends are hard to come by).

Hmmm perhaps i should make a plan for the rest of the year?

Let's seee:

Go to gym and loose the baby belly

Finish preparations for some auditions

Pick up my hip hop again (which had to be dropped due to insufficient time)

Gain a boyfriend? HAHAHAAH

Stop spending so much money

Plan a picnic day to bring in the summer he he

Yep good plan!

Love ya always

What's your ride?

Would life be better if it were a roller coaster or a ever cruising boat ride?

When asking most people this question, " do you prefer too hot or too cold" the first response is "neither" and then after much consideration would pick one of the opposites.

What most people don't realise in any situation is that you have to take the good with the bad. Uni life along side partying. Job hours along side money.

But here's the thing. Would you prefer to have the extremes or the moderate extremes?

For instance do you want your life to be just a smile and a frown everyday or insane laughter and deep depression? Like in gambling, the greater the risk factor of loosing your money, the higher the return rate.

In your relationships, is it enough just to cruise through life, finding out that you have all the same interests and every once in a while disagreeing with some small detail only to have your relationship return to its previous state of euphoria?

OR

Would you rather in your times of happiness be so illustriously filled to the brime with joy you feel like you can physically float? A state of bliss so perfect it feels like heaven. But remember you have to take the good with the bad. Sadness is no easy feat to climb. When you're sad you fall into such a deep abyss of darkness and depression, it feels like you will never escape the pain and sorrow that torments your mind and sucks your energy. A sorrow sometimes so deep it's physically debilitating.

A job offer that places you as the head of a small coorporation but knowing you shall never enter the millionaire world of donald trump?

OR

Loosing your social life and precious memories to make it to the top and into that sparkling glamourous world of no need for price tags?

It's a hard choice right? I bet you're all thinking, i want to make it to the top but i don't know if i am willing to sacrifice so much.

Lifes like that i guess hahah. The more you're willing to sacrifice the greater the return possibility. But none of us can ever be 100% sure we shall make it to the top if we tried.

Are you willing to take that risk?

POP ON YOUR THONGS!
SLIP INTO A SKIRT!
PUT ON A SHIRT!!!

IT'S SUMMER TIME!!!!!!

YEAH YEAH!!!

IT'S SUMMER TIME!!!!!!

Ok the above statement was made when it was nice and sunny and warm today but one look at the weather and the outlook for the week ahead is sadly miss winters chilly frosting.

On a different note I witnessed the strangest scene yesterday. I was in my room trying to study but ended up staring off into space as your do when you study hahaha and this man ran up my street in trackies while still brushing his teeth. Since it happened quickly i was fast to dismiss the idea of the man brushing his teeth because that's well ... just plain weird. Perhaps he was just scratching his face or something. Until i saw him again run back down the street and this time i got a good look and yes he was in fact still brushing his teeth. Strange!

Annoying thing happened to my car today. See i have a tendency to kind of panic when something goes wrong with my car whether it be small or big. So say my car won't start because i accidentally left my lights on (which has happened to me twice). But today as i was driving back from my voice lesson in the middle of the round-about along kingsway my car alarm just suddenly started blarring and the engine just shut off. My car of course continued to roll through the round-about and then my steering wheel LOCKED and my hazard lights magically turned on by itself! At this point in time i was SERIOUSLY PANICKING bcause my car wouldn't start up again! I managed to pull my car over to the side at the taxi stand which was kinda hard considering my steering wheel was locked but i managed somehow and turned off the engine and my hazard lights stopped blinking. When i turned my keys my car wouldn't start and i frantically ransacked my bag in order to find my phone and continued fruitless attempts to get my car started, all the while names flew through my head at who i should call to help save me. As i tried to calm down i realised my car wasn't in park so i shoved it into park and pulled the handbreak on and prayed and hoped that my car would start. THANKFULLY it did and I stopped hyperventilating.

LOL overreact much huh? Can't help it. All i can think of is why in the middle of a round-about? WHY did my alarm just start? WHY DID MY CAR JUST STOP AND WHY DID MY STEERING WHEEL LOCK??? I still don't understand what happened!

Hehehe but on the other hand if i ever got a chance to change my car to manual know what i would do? DRIFT IN THE SNOW WAHAHAHAHAH! Just like this

As winter draws to a close and as much as I hate winter, perhaps we should soak up the last ounce of it's icy breath with a few winter warmers. It's not as if using a Snuggie in summer is a very sane idea. By the by, 'snuggies', simply the best invention ever!!! A blanket with sleeves? INGENIOUS!

It's at times like these I wish we had a Kotatsu. Perhaps I would study easier if my tooties weren't frozen. But perhaps my personal favourite winter warmer? My favourite and wonderfully warm fleece blanket with my hot water bottle and a good book on my bed. Or if I am lucky enough perhaps the pleasure of some company. P.S sorry guys, pillow fights in our underwear is reserved for summer only. Winter is where we girls rug up and talk!!! Yeahhhh that's right we talk!

My recent addiction: COFFEE

Ok so for those that know me coffee isn't really a new addiction for me, but I have begun realise the desire for the delectable liquid becoming more frequent. I mean there is rarely a morning class in which coffee is absent from my hand. The one thing that gets me out of my snuggly cocoon in the morning and into the frosty air is knowing that a hot cup of jo shall soon be warming my hands. I don't need the coffee buzz nor do I welcome the notion of so much caffeine, I simply drink it for it's divine taste. I do wonder if I shall turn into an antique washer that shakes like an earthquake before i am 25. My most recent variation of coffee addiction is the soy latte. I love the malted taste.

By the way can i ask ya'll a question? WHEN IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO STAY IN A RESTAURANT LONG AFTER IT HAS CLOSED HMMMM????

Seriously I was working today and 10 oclock hits and it's like half empty. Alright that's cool usually in at least 5 to 10 mins people will start filing out. As per usual by the time 10:10 has come around only 2 tables are left (one lady wouldn't let us take her water glass for ages which happened to be the only thing left to wash). We turn off the music and give them the 'lets shock you blind out of here by turning up the lights really quickly" treatment and finish up cleaning. A quick glance outside the kitchen and these 2 tables are still there. Alright let's stack some chairs. STILL THERE!!! Alright one of our staff member goes home. STILL FRIKIN THERE!!! We all pretty much clock out and grab our bags and it's like 20 past 10 and they are still sitting there like dead logs. IT'S LIKE GET OUT OF HERE I WANNA GO HOME TOO!!!

SERIOUSLY!!! Don't you feel weird sitting in a restaurant where there are chairs stacked up around you and it's really empty? Weird that even the waiters have their bags and jackets on ready to go and you're still sitting there holding onto your water glass as if that last bit of water (which they didn't even drink) is going to save your life?

Sigh some people just have no manners lately. It saddens me to realise that manners in society has steadily decreased and we might be nourishing something horrible with the next generation! Especially drivers! Road rage is a scary thing I tell ya!
